Day 5. TREK DAY 1. Gangtey Gompa to Gogona. The trail passes through meadows and fields, with a gradual ascent to the Tsele La Pass. After the pass we continue through mixed forests of juniper, bamboo, magnolia and rhododendrons until we reach an area inhabited by the nomadic Bjokps.
Day 6. TREK DAY 2. Gogona to Khotokha. A gentle climb from Gogona leads to Shobju La (about 3400 m) and then descends to a valley which is home to black necked cranes.
Day 7. TREK DAY 3. Khotokha to Chuzom to Thimphu. A short climb leads to the Tashi La Pass (about 2805 m), followed by a steep descent to the road head at Chuzom where the trek ends. Drive to Thimphu.
