Chele La Nature Trek

Day 1. Arrive Paro.

Day 2. Sightseeing in Paro.
Day 3. TREK DAY 1. Paro to Chonana. The trek starts from Hotel Olathang with a gradual climb through pine forests.  We pass some beautiful farmhouses built in typical Bhutanese architectural style, and enjoy a superb view of the Paro valley.  (Altitude 3500 m, 14 km, 4 to 5 hours)
Day 4. TREK DAY 2. Chonana to Jebkarpo. Most of today’s trek is uphill to the Chele La Pass (3700 m), but there’ll be plenty of rests on the way.  The path wanders through forests which are home to primula, rhododendron and many other flora and fauna.  After crossing the pass, the trail goes along the ridge of Chele La, with a clear view of the Himalayas.  (Altitude 3500m, 16 km, 5 to 6 hours)
Day 5. TREK DAY 3. Jebkarpo to Lower Mingu La. The day begins with an early start, with breathtaking views of Mount Jomolhari, Tserim Gang and the famous Jichu Drake.  The trail follows the ridge above the Ha valley.  (Altitude 3850 m, 15 km, 5 to 6 hours)
Day 6. TREK DAY 4. Lower Mingu La to Thong. Another day with excellent views of mountains, valleys, and yaks! (Altitude 3950 m, 16 km, 5 to 6 hours)
Day 7. TREK DAY 5. Thong to Thimphu. A short trek downhill brings us back to the Paro valley, and the trek ends at Drukgyel Dzong.  Drive to Paro.  Lunch.  Drive to Thimphu.
Day 8. Sightseeing in Thimphu.
Day 9. Thimphu to Wangdi and Punakha (excursion).
Day 10. Punakha to Paro.
Day 11. Sightseeing in Paro.
Day 12. Depart.
